Valletta, the capital of Malta is the centre of much of the island's cultural life and hosts concerts, plays, street events and exhibitions at regular intervals. The quaint cityscape of Valletta forms the backdrop to many of these cultural events, and you can soak in the picture perfect atmosphere during performances by prominent opera singers and English theatre shows.
Families love the atmosphere at carnival time and the open-air performances that happen ever so often in Malta. Especially colourful are the parade at Valletta and the Nadur Carnival that takes place in Gozo each year.
