Valletta, the capital of Malta is the centre of much of the island's cultural life and hosts concerts, plays, street events and exhibitions at regular intervals. The quaint cityscape of Valletta forms the backdrop to many of these cultural events, and you can soak in the picture perfect atmosphere during performances by prominent opera singers and English theatre shows.
Families love the atmosphere at carnival time and the open-air performances that happen ever so often in Malta. Especially colourful are the parade at Valletta and the Nadur Carnival that takes place in Gozo each year. The Malta International Jazz Festival takes place in July of every year. A line-up of top international and Maltese artists present an eclectic mix of jazz styles from the current musical scene.

GO BEYOND! 2012 is a good year for runners from all over the world. On Sunday the 26th of February 2012 the Land Rover Malta Marathon will be held. For several years this event has been organized and the forecast is that also this year it will bring many participants to Malta.
