The hotel offers 136 luxurious furbished guestrooms with 5-star hospitality to ensure a great stay. The hotel itself is situated on the edge of Valletta's walls and on parts of the fortification system outworks. This location was the basis for the construction of the hotel. The idea to build this hotel dates back to 1935 and initiated by Lady Strickland. However, in 1942 the site was heavily bombed during WWII and in 1944 the site had to be reconstructed again. In 1948 the construction of the hotel was completed.
The hotel offers its guests different types of dining in different settings, ranging from restaurants to brasseries and bars that that cater to the needs and tastes of the guests. The food offered varies from local, Mediterranean to international meals, salads and sandwiches.
Phoenicia has a Bastion Pool Deck, which is accessible through their terraced gardens. The Pool Deck provides breathtaking views of the harbour and bastions of Valletta.

Late check-out is allowed subject to availability and could be at a charge.
Children 0-12 years sharing parents' room stay for free.
Children above 12 years pay a supplement of 50% of the adult price.
However dinner is normally charged based on consumption.
Reservations cancelled after 1800 hours (local time) one day prior to arrival will be liable to a 2-night cancellation fee.
A third person (over 12 years) sharing a room will pay €50.
Half Board Supplement per person per day is €35.
