Countryside Walk at Mgar ix-Xini, Gozo

Duration: 1 day(s) - Location: Gozo

The 10km walk - which can be adjusted to 7.5km - offers several beautiful natural sites such as a shingle beach, beacon tower of the 18th century, Fort Chambray, fossilized Globigerina limestone, clay slopes, coastal cliffs, a large and old Olive grove; all adorned by sunshine, fresh air, and several hundreds of species typical of the Mediterranean region.

The tour is aimed for a duration of 6-7 hours with at least 3 small breaks and takes place between mid October to end of May. It's an ideal tour if you are residing in Gozo for few days and want something different from urban touring. Bus transport is not available here and the street is too narrow for coaches, so you have to depend on our transport or alternatively a hired car or taxi (much more expensive). Being experts on local biodiversity, the guides will identify the species encountered and fill you with all related information you would need to know. The tour is usually performed any day between Sat to Tue, depending combined requests and weather forecast. It is suitable for all ages so far one can walk 7-10km. Most of the track is countryside footpaths and there is no tough off-roading or rock climbing. However wear a walking or trekking shoes since you would walk over rocky plains. An optional picnic style lunch can be order from us too.
