The Blue Grotto & Marsaxlokk Tour is a half day guided tour that will first show you the breathtaking Blue Grotto located by boat (fare not included) at the west of Wied iz-Zurrieq Harbour at the south side of Malta. Between sunrise and 1.00 pm there is a great phenomenon to experience. Due to the location of the grotto and the sunlight the water depicts beautiful different types of blue colours. The tour will proceed to the traditional Maltese fishing village called Marsaxlokk, situated in the southern part of the island. "Marsa" means harbour or bay in Arabic and "xlokk" is the Maltese word for southeast. In the village you will experience the fish market and the possibility to view "luzzu", which are traditional and beautifully bright colour painted fishing boats. On these boats, eyes are depicted, which in Maltese perceptions, protect fisherman from the evil eye.
